Activities include:
Summer/Fall: Spend a day hiking on the Appalachian Trail and Merck
Forest. The shopping at the outlet shops in Manchester is a legendary mecca for the
serious or not-so-serious shopper (who can pass up a quality bargain?), you can
also tour Hildene while
you're there. There's also horseback riding at
one of two area stables. And, pack a picnic lunch and visit some of
Vermont's famous covered bridges.
Winter: Downhill skiing at Stratton and Bromley. Cross-country skiing at
Wild Wings, Merck Forest, and Hildene. We can also help you arrange a family or romantic
