Check-in is only between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m.
The Quail's Nest is a non-smoking establishment.
Check-out is anytime before 11:00 a.m.
Breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m.
No pets allowed.
Children 16 or older are welcome.
We require advanced reservations.
Payment is made when checking in. We accept Visa, Mastercard,
and Discover.
Wireless service is available to our guests. There are no
telephones in the rooms. There is a guest telephone at the base of the stairs
from which local calls (including Manchester and Rutland), calling card calls,
and toll free calls may be made. We will gladly relay phone messages made to
our main number. Cell phone reception in Danby is improving but limited
depending on your carrier
There are no televisions in the rooms. The Common Area has a
television with VCR and DVD player and a selection of movies.
Location & Directions
From Boston: Follow Route 2 WEST to I-91 NORTH to
Brattleboro, VT. Take Exit 2 in Brattleboro to Route 30 NORTH to Manchester
Route 7 NORTH (13 miles to Danby), continue through East Dorset (8 miles to
Danby) then to Danby . Watch for Danby sign. Turn left after sign onto Mt.
Tabor Road. Go left at end onto Main Street. We are on your left next door to
the Holy Trinity Church. (Approx. 4 hours.)
From Hartford Connecticut: Take I-91 NORTH to
Brattleboro, VT. Take Exit 2 in Brattleboro to Route 30 NORTH to Manchester
Route 7 NORTH (13 miles to Danby), continue through East Dorset (8 miles to
Danby) then to Danby. Watch for Danby sign. Turn left after sign onto Mt. Tabor
Road. Go left at end onto Main Street. We are on your left next door to the
Holy Trinity Church (Approx. 3 hours.)
From New York City: New York State Thruway NORTH to exit
23, I 787. Go NORTH. Take New York Route 7 east to Troy/Bennington, Vermont. As
you approach Bennington take the new bypass Route 279 to Route 7 NORTH through
Manchester (13 miles to Danby), East Dorset (8 miles to Danby), onto Danby.
Turn left after sign onto Mt. Tabor Road. Go left at end onto Main Street. We
are on your left next door to the Holy Trinity Church (Approx. 4 and a half
hours.)
